Handwriting is a person's particular style of writing, typically using a pen or a pencil

Why is it important??

  • Handwriting is important because it engages the brain differently than typing
  • It is a physical act of forming words and sentences
  • Helps student imprint and retain the letters and sounds that they are learning
  • Helps us slow down and completely engage in our thoughts
  • It is unique to each individual
